Just ONE day...

Health happens one day at a time. I read this quote on a social media group I follow that focuses on health and wellness, and its simplicity and honesty struck me. We all have days when we feel less than our best- not enough sleep, overindulging with food and drink, skipping a workout, etc. In addition to not feeling great in the present moment, it can turn into somewhat of a vicious cycle.  “Tomorrow” turns into the next day, and then the next, and before you know it, it’s been a week since you hit your goals, or even made steps to reaching them.

 

In comes this friendly reminder; health happens one day at a time.

 

Each new day is an opportunity to make changes and give ourselves a fresh start. A time to wake up, set new goals, and leave the past behind. If you want it, make it happen. 

 

In the words of Lauren Bongiorno, an incredibly inspirational health and wellness guru (and a fellow T1D) “decide and conquer.”
