Growing growing!

August can be a significant month for all of us. Maybe you checked a new spot off your bucket list or perhaps you read all the books on your summer reading list. Perhaps it’s time for a new school or career adventures, or maybe it means more routine and the beginning of college football season. This year, for the Bristow family, it’s a little bit of all those things AND finally time for us to meet our newest family member, due to arrive in just a few weeks. We couldn’t be more excited.

Several people have asked me how bringing a new baby into the fold will affect Growing Grounded and what my plans are for the upcoming months. If only I had a Magic 8 Ball! With as many uncertainties as we have right now (when will the baby come, are you a boy or girl, what are we going to name you- just to name a few…) there are a few things of which I am certain.

First, Growing Grounded is continuing to grow (not just with a new baby!) Momentum continues to build and new opportunities and partnerships are on the horizon, and I can’t wait to jump back in with two feet come October. There are two spots remaining for individual/family coaching packages, and I will be introducing two NEW group coaching offerings to launch in October. One is called Whole Kids, and focuses on five key components for raising well rounded kids, and the second one is a Yoga for Athletes program, which will combine the physical benefits of yoga and the mental benefits of Mindfulness, specifically for growing athletes.

Corporate and school events this fall include Mindfulness 101, Healthy Habits in the Workplace, and Calm Classrooms, as well as a variety of Yoga experiences. For more information on any of these programs please visit or contact me to set up a phone to learn more.

And finally, partnerships with The Strong Community, Vestigo, and STAT Wellness will continue to grow and thrive. I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude to work with this group of passionate people who share a similar mission as Growing Grounded, groups which fully support time off for family and personal growth.

The next few weeks will be busy tying up loose ends- wrapping up with clients, preparing for K and 2nd grade (who doesn’t love new school supplies and backpacks?) and waiting...patiently... for this little baby!

Wishing you all well, and looking forward to seeing you in October.
