Ways to Grow

Growing Grounded is committed to supporting teams and individuals in creating a foundation for personal and professional growth. Right now as we navigate uncertain times, many of us feel that our foundation- our routines, systems, and procedures that typically help us manage the day, have all but disappeared. And as a whole, we are working to develop a new version of our foundation. Imagine what would happen if the first floor of a building became unstable...each floor above it would be compromised. This is where the mission of Growing Grounded comes into play. My goal is to support clients in re-creating their foundation, so we can move from a place of surviving to thriving.

I have worked to develop a menu of programs to support clients in several areas of life. From social emotional learning for the little ones, to academic support for home-schoolers, all the way up to nutrition consults and virtual experiences for families.

When we can start to see this challenging situation as an opportunity rather than a setback, we are setting ourselves up for growth.

The information below details a few of the programs I have worked to develop and am currently implementing. They are simple, FUN, promote independence, and promote life long skills of presence, awareness, and confidence which your children will benefit from for years to come.

Books and Bends: Books and Bends is a literacy based Mindfulness curriculum designed to bring together literacy and Mindful moments through age appropriate books. During each session a new book will be introduced to support yoga poses, breathing techniques, and imaginative relaxation. Children will learn to pay attention to the present moment and be in touch with their own feelings and senses in order to best support their learning. This can be done in individual or small group setting in a Zoom room.

Book Clubs: Modeled after an adult monthly meeting, kids love book club too! During book club the small group will read the chosen book together, discuss the book, build creative writing skills, and practice age appropriate literacy skills in a Zoom room.

*Please note: Individual academic tutoring and social emotional coaching available

Virtual Reality Experience: A unique and memorable family experience designed to capture your greatest imagination and tap into your fullest potential during this challenging time. With the use of a virtual reality headset, we will recognize self-imposed limitations, effective group communication, and how to accept the present moment.

For more information on all of these programs please visit https://www.growinggrounded.org/waystogrow and remember, all sessions are done via Zoom so you do not have to be local to Atlanta.

Please let me know what questions you have and how I can support you. And stay tuned for new programs in the weeks to come. We are in this together, and together we will rise!

Be well,
